Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary

Bolderwood is another great place with parking and toilets. If you are really lucky then you may spot some deer wandering in the woods. The path is steep down but it’s still fine for pushchairs. It does get busy during the summer but is great for a walk in the winter.

Looking over Milford-on-Sea, Hurst Castle was built by Henry VIII in 1544. It is famous for being the prison of Charles 1st and offers amazing views for the Solent.

Make sure you travel down the steps to the dungeon and travel to the East and West wings to see where the gunpowder was kept and how the soldiers lived.

What we love the best is that you can take a ride to the castle using the ferry. Getting to the castle isn’t pushchair-friendly though as it’s all shingles.
