There spooky tours of Milestones are back for Halloween 2023!
Join them if you dare for a frightening family tour of Milestones Museum after dark! Hear the tales that are too terrifying to tell during the day and be prepared for a few scares along the way!
This runs from the 21st – 29th Oct from 5pm to 630pm.

Wizard Weekend at Watercress Line

Museum By Torchlight at Museum of The Iron Age & Andover Museum
Running on Saturday 29th October 2022, Museum By Torchlight lets you dress in your spooky costumes and explore the museum.

Owl-O-Ween at Hawk Conservancy Trust
Prepare yourself and your little ones for a wickedly spook-tacular family evening this Halloween. You can enjoy some ghostly storytelling and marvel at the owls as they put on a beautiful flying display against the backdrop of their moonlit grounds.
There’ll be an opportunity to independently explore the grounds and see the birds in their homes, following spooky moonlit trails between the two flying displays of the evening. They’ll introduce you to a range of mystical owls from the native Barn Owls to larger species such as Great Grey Owls and a Verreaux’s Eagle-Owl!

Halloween Spooktacular at Itchen Valley Country Park
Walk the Halloween Trail by night and meet the spooky Story Tribe along the way. Explore this outdoor woodland setting in a safe, joyous, and only slightly scary manner.

Pumpkin Festival at Sunnyfields Farm
Come along to a local farm in Totton and pick your own pumpkins. They have thousands of different sized pumpkins that are perfect for whatever you need them for, including pumpkin carving!
On selected days from the 1st – 31st October the farm will be covered in thousands of pumpkins. Photo opportunities, pumpkin themed food and pumpkin picking are just the start for this event.

Autumn Steam Up and Halloween at The Brickworks Museum
A great place to visit for the whole family anyway, The Brickworks Museum in Burlesdon is great for the whole family. The Halloween Steam Up is an outside event that is full of steam exhibits including miniature engines, table top model displays and fairground organs.
This events runs of the 25th October 2023, from 11am to 4pm. Please make sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Happy Halloween at Paultons Park
Paultons Park, based in Romsey, is also the home of Peppa Pig World. Paultons Park go all out at Halloween with over 4000 pumpkins scattered throughout the park.
They offer spooky scenes, Halloween decorations plus plenty of ways to see Peppa and George dressed up in their Halloween costumes too.
For the older kids, the park opens a bit later so you can enjoy all the rides lit up as the sun goes down.
You do need to book in advance and your tickets give you access to the whole park, not just the Halloween events! It’s a great place for the whole family.

Trick or Treat Halloween at Moors Valley Country Park
Come join Moors Valley for a fun Trick or Treat Halloween race. The event features Junior 5K, 5 Mile and 10 Mile races, all with lots of scare opportunities. The races are all set within the grounds of Moors Valley Country Park, offering a fantastic chance to run around the trails and woods in the dark. The course is made up of trails, pathways and woodland, and has a Halloween feel.
Once you’ve finished a bit of running and messing about in the dark, you’ll be rewarded with a medal and your goodies.

Exbury Gardens & Steam Railway
This is the best Halloween ghost train for the whole family!
Ride Exbury’s haunted ghost train this October half term for some frightfully entertaining family fun!
Spooky characters will captivate children and adults alike in a creepily comedic performance. Starting at Exbury Central Station, our un-dead conductors will guide passengers on a grisly journey through Exbury’s wearisome woodland, festooned with gruesome decorations.
Ghoulish characters will be lurking within the copse, and you might even hear some ghastly singing and see some dreadful dancing along the way, before entering our haunted tunnel!
The train journey is about 30 minutes long and may be a bit scary for younger children.
