There’s loads of Halloween events in Hampshire that are perfect for the whole family. These October half term activities are great regardless of if your kids like Halloween or not!

Be brave and enjoy the Halloween season throughout Hampshire. There’s plenty of events going on that are perfect for all ages of children, from community events to days out ideas.

These events are all happening in 2021 but please make sure that you check their website and book if needed to avoid disappointment.

Fright Night at the Museum

There spooky tours of Milestones are back for Halloween 2021!

Join them if you dare for a frightening family tour of Milestones Museum after dark! Hear the tales that are too terrifying to tell during the day and be prepared for a few scares along the way!

This runs from the 27th – 31st Oct from 5pm to 630pm.

Wizard Weekend at Watercress Line

The Watercress Line transforms into a place of magic and mischief for Halloween!We have lots of spooky activities to keep the kids entertained. ALL activities run from 11am – 4pm and are included in your ticket price. This is running from 29th – 31st October.

SPOOKY TRAIL

Explore the Curtis Museum and search for the clues to complete our spooky Halloween trail. This costs £1 is running from 23rd October 2021 from 10am to 4pm.

Halloween Half Term at Andover Museum

Open from Tuesday to Friday, 10am to 4pm.

Throughout the week we will have a Halloween themed activity box, including a Halloween traditions trail, available for a suggested donation of £1 per box. You can also try the spooky objects trail with glow in the dark stickers!

Westgate Museum

Starting on 23rd October to 31 October 2021, from 10am to 5pm.

Learn how this medieval gate was used as a debtor’s prison, marvel at the historic markings left by prisoners and judge for yourselves if the Westgate is haunted.

Take an evening tour if you dare!

Hear about the real historic events that led to the fall of Basing House and the spooky local stories that have surrounded it ever since.

Paper Lantern Making

Make your own paper lantern to take home. Be inspired by this amazing museum.

You do not need to pre-book, but valid entry tickets are required. Sessions will take place 11am – 1pm and 2pm – 4pm.

Pumpkin Festival at Sunnyfields Farm

Come along to a local farm in Totton and pick your own pumpkins. They have thousands of different sized pumpkins that are perfect for whatever you need them for, including pumpkin carving!

This event is running throughout October starting on the 2nd and running throughout half term, 9am to 9pm. If you fancy that Halloween twinkle amongst the atmospheric lights, we will be open ’til late!

Fairthorne Manor Spooky Trail

A Spooky adventure awaits you at Fairthorne Manor this October half term.

Try and track down our eerie characters such as peculiar pumpkins, creepy cobwebs and scary spiders as you follow the trail around our woodland.

The self-guided trail will take 45-60 minutes but you are welcome to stay longer and enjoy the Family Park campsite area and playpark.

Come along at any time within the opening hours during the day you have booked.

Each trail pack costs £6 and includes your map and spooky activity. Pop back into reception after your activity to pick up your prize.

Playshack Halloween Party

This fun soft play party is open to all. Come along and enjoy party games, entertainment and spooky treats.

This is happening on Saturday 30th October from 5pm – 7pm.

Tickets are available from Playshack directly. They are £11.95 which admits 1 child and 1 parent.

Itchen Valley Country Park Halloween Trail

Running from Saturday 23 to Sunday 31 October, any time between 10.30am to 4.30pm. Feeling brave? Take part in our Halloween Trail through the woods. Get all the ghoulish answers right to claim your prize!

Cost: £3 per trail pack. No need to pre-book, just collect your trail pack from the Woodland Café.

This is a great pumpkin party for all ages. Running on Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th October from 11am – 3pm.

Autumn Steam Up and Halloween

A great place to visit for the whole family anyway, The Brickworks Museum in Burlesdon is great for the whole family. The Halloween Steam Up is an outside event that is full of steam exhibits including miniature engines, table top model displays and fairground organs.

This events runs of the 24th October 2021, from 11am to 4pm. Please make sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Halloween Party at Copythorne Parish Hall

This Halloween Party is on Tuesday 26th October at 130pm to 3pm. This costs £5 a ticket.

Limited number of tickets available so please book ASAP to avoid missing out.Party includes – Halloween themed party games, party dances, prizes, balloon models, puppet show with bixxy the monster and lots more. Fancy dress optional. Competition for best costume. Sweet cones available for £1 each.

Pumpkins scattered around Paultons Park

Happy Halloween at Paultons Park

Paultons Park, based in Romsey, is also the home of Peppa Pig World. Paultons Park go all out at Halloween with over 4000 pumpkins scattered throughout the park.

They offer spooky scenes, Halloween decorations plus plenty of ways to see Peppa and George dressed up in their Halloween costumes too.

For the older kids, the park opens a bit later so you can enjoy all the rides lit up as the sun goes down.

You do need to book in advance and your tickets give you access to the whole park, not just the Halloween events! It’s a great place for the whole family.

Happy Halloween at Paultons Park runs from 14th October to 1st November 2021.

Halloween Kids Afternoon Tea

Running on Wednesday 27th October from 12pm to 3pm, this is a party like no other!

Join the Solent Hotel & Spa for a fun filled Halloween Kids Afternoonn Tea!

The afternoon also includes mini pumpkin carving followed by a movie with popcorn.

Parents can just supervise or join in the fun with the Afternoon tea @ £24.95 per adult. Fancy dress is optional.

Halloween Fun Day

Fantastic day out for all the family, with free entry into the event.

The Stacey Community Centre have loads of the kids to do this year, lots of free craft, they can carve a pumpkin, decorate a Ginger-dead man, enter into our fancy dress competition.

Bring some pocket money though, as we have some games stall, BBQ, bouncy castle and the café in the lounge.

Doors open on Saturday 30th October at 10am, so make sure you get here early to avoid disappointment.Fancy Dress competition will be judged at 1pm.

Funland Fright Night

This Halloween we have a fantastic night of fun, fright and fireworks planned for you all. The ghosts and ghouls will have been locked away for the past year and will be ready to let loose, so make sure you come and try Hayling’s Haunted Hospital maze or The Screaming Hills Asylum. It will be the scariest thing you’ll do this year.

The end the night will finish with a bang with the best Firework display yet.

Running on Sunday 24th October 2021 from 12pm to 3pm at Portsmouth Guildhall, expect to have the best time with your little ones.

Exbury Gardens & Steam Railway

This is the best Halloween ghost train for the whole family!

Ride Exbury’s haunted ghost train this October half term for some frightfully entertaining family fun!

Spooky characters will captivate children and adults alike in a creepily comedic performance. Starting at Exbury Central Station, our un-dead conductors will guide passengers on a grisly journey through Exbury’s wearisome woodland, festooned with gruesome decorations.

Ghoulish characters will be lurking within the copse, and you might even hear some ghastly singing and see some dreadful dancing along the way, before entering our haunted tunnel!

The train journey is about 30 minutes long and may be a bit scary for younger children.

Prices are:

Members – £5.85 (valid membership will be checked upon arrival)
Non-members – £6.50 (plus gardens admission)

Come along to this kids Halloween Party on Sunday 31st October.
