Hurst Castle
Hurst Castle is a beautiful Tudor fort that was also a prison in the 16th Century. You can enjoy the amazing views and find out how the keep worked back in the Tudor times.
Make sure that you visit the whole site as it walks you through the complete history from the Tudor times to the Second World War. To enter Hurst Castle there is a charge but it makes a great day out for older kids. You can find Hurst Castle at SO41 0TP.
Lymington Treasure Hunt Trail
Lymington Treasure Hunt Trail is a self-guided tour that you can print off before you visit. It takes you around the 2.5-mile trail that takes you around Lymington in a fun way. This is a family trail that gives you clues to solve that help you learn more about the town.
Fuzzacker Guided Walks
Fuzzacker Guided Walks takes you around the New Forest while talking you through the landscape and about the local area. It doesn’t matter if you are an experienced hiker or just like a walk, this is a great way to experience the New Forest. Make sure that you check out their website for more information.
Lymington Sea Water Baths
Lymington Sea Water Baths are the oldest open-air seawater baths in the UK. You can go swimming while enjoying the local activties too. Check their website for more information on booking your family slot.
If your family loves the water, then Lymington Sea Water Baths is for you! This fully staffed 110m seawater pool has a 12m inflatable obstacle course plus stand up paddleboards as well as kayaks and aqua jousting. Parking is close. Great for school kids and up! Apple Court Garden
Apple Court Garden is a stunning garden just 3 miles from the main town. This is a stunning garden that is packed full of flowers and shrubs. The kids will love running around these gardens and it’s a great way to enjoy wildlife too. Apple Court Garden can be found at SO41 0HU.
Keyhaven Marshes Walk
This is a 4-mile walk that takes you all along the marshes. This is a great place to bird spot too! This is a great place to visit with Hirst Castle too.
St Barbe Museum and Art Gallery
Stepped in local history, St Barbe Museum and Gallery is a great place to learn about our coastal region through interactive displays.
Experts help guide you around with speakers, headphones and all sorts of technology making this a great place for all ages.
This free day out is a great way for the whole family to learn about our history. The kids can dress up while learning about being a Shepard or what it was like being a Victorian sailor.
Open Monday to Sunday 10am-4pm, St Barbe Museum and Gallery has an onsite restaurant, parking and is pushchair and wheelchair friendly.
National Motor Museum Beaulieu
Based near the New Forest, Beaulieu is packed full of cars that are steeped in history.
With over 250 vehicles, a high-level monorail and The Palace House and gardens, this is a full day out for the whole family.
The ticket covers all the attractions including the Mini Motor play area and Mill Pond Walk.
They have onsite restaurants, parking and picnic benches. Great for all ages.
