What can you do at Rock Up Whiteley?

There is so much to do at Rock Up Whiteley for the whole family. They have everything from soft play sessions to toddler climb sessions and climbing walls for older kids and adults.

Fun climbing walls

Walking into Rock Up Whiteley, you see straight away that the climbing walls are perfect for all abilities of climbers. They offer great multi-climber walls as well as solo walls that can challenge even the most seasoned of dancer.

Most of the climbing walls are designed for children 4 plus right up and beyond adulthood.

Rock Up Whiteley have over 20 climbing walls and 70 challenges for the whole family to try out.

My children’s three favourites are:

The Big Cheese – This was a great starter wall for them as they had not been climbing for a while. They found it easy to grip on to and pull themselves up. It was a great way for them to start and they both reached the top pretty quickly.

Speed Climb – They both had a really good laugh with this one. I set the clock at the bottom and they raced each other to see who could get to the top fastest.

Stairway to Heaven – This took them both a few goes to get to grips with as you do have to jump as well as climb. They loved jumping down at the end though as it felt like a zip line.

Soft play area

The Soft play area looked great for the little ones. It has a slide and loads of climbing space for toddlers and it’s own little area for the babies or pre-walkers as well.

There is loads of seating around the soft play which is very handly when you have a little one.

Ropes course

As well as rock climbing, Rock Up Whiteley offers a rope course. This is above the climbing equipment so is very high but great for older kids and adults who love a challenge and who don’t mind heights.

The kids started off crawling through a tunnel then climbing over a huge spiders net then on to a wobbly bridge until they reach the zip line which takes them right across to the start again.

This was a huge highlight for my kids. They did this rope course about four times and couldn’t get enough of it.
