1. Chineham Park Splash Pad (Basingstoke)

If you’re looking for a way to beat the heat and have a splashing good time, head on over to the Chineham Park Splash Pad. This little gem is the perfect spot to cool off and let the kids (or let’s be honest, yourself) run wild.

The Splash Pad is open from May to September, so you’ve got plenty of time to make the most of it. It’s completely free to use, and trust me, the kiddos will have an absolute blast. You can even pack a picnic and make a day of it – just don’t forget the towels!

Now, I know what you’re thinking, “But what if I don’t have kids?” Well, my friend, that’s no problem at all. The Splash Pad is open to everyone, so grab your mates, your partner, or just go solo and have a grand old time. It’s the perfect way to inject a little bit of fun and excitement into your day.

Fancy a dip? The Testwood Paddling Pool is the place to be this summer! This local gem is the perfect spot to cool off and have a splashing good time. Whether you’ve got little ones or you’re a big kid at heart, there’s fun to be had by all.

Grab your swimsuit and head on down – the water’s lovely! The pool is open from May to September, so you’ve got plenty of time to make a splash. Pack a picnic, bring some pool toys, and get ready for a brilliant day out.

6. Fleming Park Paddling Pool (Eastleigh)

This local gem is the perfect place to cool off on a hot summer day. This is a local leisure centre splash park run by Places Leisure Eastleigh. 

Grab the little ones and let them splash about to their heart’s content. The pool’s got just the right depth for little legs to paddle around safely. And with the surrounding greenery, it’s a proper oasis away from the hustle and bustle. Pack a picnic lunch and make a day of it – you can even challenge the kids to a game of Marco Polo! So what are you waiting for? Get down to Fleming Park and make a splash.

7. St John’s Road Paddling Pool (Eastleigh)

Hedge End Paddling Pool is a five-minute walk away from the center of Hedge End on St Johns Recreational ground. There’s a shop so you can buy refreshments and ice creams as well as toilets on site. To park, it’s best to use the Town Council car park on St Johns Road as along the road can be very busy.

Hedge End Paddling Pool normally opens daily between May to September 1030am to 5pm. The paddling pool is managed by Hedge End Town Council and more details can be found on their website here.

There is a great play area right next to the splash park and a lot of grass that you can relax on.

8. Water Kingdom at Paultons Park (Romsey)

Part of the admission price of Paultons Park, Water Kingdom is a huge gated splash park where you can let the kids go wild. With sprays, water buckets, and pistols, this splash park is perfect for the hot weather.

It’s great for all ages but if your little one prefers a smaller splash park, then try Muddy Puddles splash park in Peppa Pig World. It has splash pads and a place for the kids to jump up and down in the little puddles.

Both are directly next to a huge playground, toilets and a café.

9. Gosport Splash Park (Portmouth)

10. Canoe Lake Water Splash Area (Portsmouth)

The best part? It’s completely free to use, so you can bring the whole family and not have to worry about breaking the bank. Just pack up your towels, sunscreen, and maybe a cheeky picnic basket, and you’re good to go.

There is a playground, a massive lake to enjoy with paddle boats and a cafe opne in the summer. The best part? Parking is right next to the splash park! 

Just across the road is Southsea Seafront which has its own stone beach and loads of attractions to keep everyone busy all day.

11. Lee-On-The-Solent Splash Park (Portsmouth)

Based right on the seafront, Lee-On-The-Solent Splash Park has everything you need for a day of fun in the sun.

The splash park itself has tipping buckets, sprays, and water shooters. The play area is right next door which has a swing, slides, and loads of things to climb on.

For lunch, Lee-On-Solent town center is right with loads of cafes selling a range of food including ice creams. You can also have a picnic on the beach.

12. Hilsea Jubilee Splash Pool (Portsmouth)

Completely free, the Hilsea Jubilee Splash Pool is great for kids eight and under. There are toilets on site with baby changing and benches for a picnic. Parking is free on-site and there’s a café if needed.

13. Blue Reef Splash Park (Portsmouth)

Included in the price of admission, Blue Reef Portsmouth overlooks the seafront and has a small splash area for kids. It has jets and water pools for the kids and a small park on-site. Opening times are the same as the aquarium and can be found here on their website.

14. Lymington Sea Water Baths (Lymington)

Lymington Baths has a great water play area for older kids who love to get wet! Lymington Sea Water Baths is a fully staffed swimming pool with the option of renting out inflatables. There’s a kids splash pool for the little ones, an on-site café plus toilets, and changing rooms.

15. New Forest Aqua Park (Fordingbridge)

This is like nothing you’ve seen before! The New Forest Aqua Park is a huge 4,000sq meter floating inflatable that has 2 trampolines, monkey bars, rollers, and loads of other fun obstacles.

Prices do apply so please see The New Forest Aqua Park website for more details. You do have to swim to gain access and under 11s do need adult supervision. There are a café on site and toilets. Parking is at the clubhouse.
